Companies are adopting Backstage to help improve developer experience and drive standardisation on their Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs). But the promise of IDPs can be limited by the architecture.
In this talk, we’ll cover static and dynamic IDPs, discuss their differences by considering what it takes to allow developers to scaffold new projects and deploy to different environments from Backstage.
We will use Humanitec to show the role a platform orchestrator plays in an IDP and show how you could deploy using Humanitec integrated with Backstage.
