A common trap when building platforms is the “build it and they will come” mentality, which often leads to creating solutions that aren’t connected to actual problems that engineering teams need solved. The result? Slow adoption, sub-par engagement, wasted effort, and ultimately irrelevance.
In this talk, we’ll share how we used customer interviews, data, and user journey maps, to define our purpose, vision and roadmap centered around direct value for our engineering teams. We’ll also share how we communicate up and out, to achieve org-wide and c-level engagement.
