As in every trending new field, you can observe some confusion in the vertical of Internal Developer Platforms and developer self-service. As the building, implementation and adoption of such platforms has very far-reaching implications, every step must be well thought out. Most stakeholders have different views on which are the most pressing pain points a platform should solve, and that is just the beginning.
