In this talk Sahil Thakral will present OLXAutos journey to solve its scalability problems of venturing into multiple markets and multiple revenue streams. Also aspiring to scale at such a level made us realise the importance of having an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) and how it would enable us progressing towards it.
This talk will focus on:
- The problems that we were facing which needed an out of the box solution
- Identifying the skills that we needed as a team to solve these problems and how we prioritised the them
- The importance of having an IDP and the cultural mind-shift it requires
- What it means to treat the platform as a real product with the fellow engineers as customers
- How our solutions are empowering others and making them self-sufficient
